Terms of Service – Vortex Plumbing

Welcome to Vortex Plumbing. By using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully.

1. Scope of Services

Vortex Plumbing provides plumbing inspection, repair, and replacement services for:

  • Residential and commercial properties

  • Real estate transactions (buyer/seller inspection repair work)

  • Rental turnover / make-ready plumbing

  • New construction and light commercial projects

All work performed is based on approved scopes, flat-rate bundles, or individual service agreements. Any additional work not listed in the agreed scope will require written approval and may incur additional charges.

2. Scheduling & Appointments

  • All service requests are scheduled based on availability.

  • Expedited or priority service requests may incur additional fees.

  • Vortex Plumbing is not responsible for delays caused by third-party access issues, property availability, or unforeseen conditions.

3. Flat-Rate Pricing & Quotes

  • Flat-rate pricing applies to the services outlined in our pricing bundles.

  • Pricing may vary for customer-supplied fixtures, premium materials, or conditions requiring additional labor.

  • Any work outside the agreed scope requires re-quote and client approval before proceeding.

4. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the property for scheduled work.

  • Disclose any known plumbing issues or conditions that may impact the scope of work.

  • Obtain necessary permissions for work in rental or shared properties.

  • Ensure all customer-supplied fixtures meet manufacturer instructions and safety standards.

5. Limitation of Liability

Vortex Plumbing is fully licensed and insured. However:

  • We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, structural damage, or concealed defects discovered during work.

  • Cosmetic issues, mold, or damage unrelated to the approved plumbing work are excluded from liability.

  • Liability for any single service is limited to the total amount paid for that service.

6. Warranty & Guarantees

  • All work performed by Vortex Plumbing is guaranteed to meet industry standards for workmanship.

  • Warranty does not cover:

    • Customer-supplied fixtures or materials

    • Damage due to misuse, neglect, or external causes

    • Work performed by other contractors after our service

  • Any warranty claims must be submitted in writing within 30 days of service completion.

7. Inspection & Documentation

  • For real estate repairs, Vortex Plumbing provides written documentation and photos of completed work.

  • These documents are for agent, buyer, or seller use only and are intended to verify corrections and compliance.

8. Emergency & Specialty Work

  • Emergency services are provided on a best-effort basis and may incur additional fees.

  • Specialty services outside standard bundles require written approval and re-quote prior to work.

9. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed.

  • Accepted forms of payment include cash, check, and credit/debit card.

  • Late payments may incur fees or suspension of future services until settled.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms will be resolved in the appropriate court in Oregon.

11. Changes to Terms

Vortex Plumbing reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes via email or website posting. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
